And the Spanish heavy infantry look cool too. Bugger. Bugger. Bugger.

Then there are the very cool Andalusian Heavy and light cavalry.Bloggeratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15501347647235993401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-44745233982529503782014-04-04T17:08:42.565+11:002014-04-04T17:08:42.565+11:00I know!I know!Bloggeratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15501347647235993401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-64633139499281743562014-04-04T13:03:59.138+11:002014-04-04T13:03:59.138+11:00La la lala ( he sings with fingers in ears)La la lala ( he sings with fingers in ears)Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-22551380507639392142014-04-04T05:41:50.046+11:002014-04-04T05:41:50.046+11:00Steve, Ross, thanks for your very useul comments.
...Steve, Ross, thanks for your very useul comments.

I just did a comparison with some Hat Bavarians I had laying about the place. They are one or two mm shorter, but worth exploring, I think. Especially with one of those circular Renedra bases stuck on to shim them up.

Good spot on the Sikh range Ross. There also some useful cavalry in the Late 17rth C range. Then I started looking at the Polish winged lancer. Lucky for me it was then time to go to bed. Saved by the bell. How nice would a dozen of them look on the shelf?Bloggeratorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15501347647235993401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-6444429947055692372014-04-04T01:49:06.419+11:002014-04-04T01:49:06.419+11:00The Hat figures are quite a bit smaller.

Mamlukes could also be useful.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-84470292447684893322014-04-03T22:52:24.839+11:002014-04-03T22:52:24.839+11:00I wonder if any of the Andalusian or Almoravid fig...I wonder if any of the Andalusian or Almoravid figures from HaT's 28mm El Cid range would work as Saracens. I don't know enough about the period to say for sure and perhaps they might be a bit too small.Steve Gillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00784652695519954845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15312232.post-719974724336011322014-04-03T22:10:13.813+11:002014-04-03T22:10:13.813+11:00They are nice figures and paint up even more nicel...They are nice figures and paint up even more nicely apparently. Im a big fan of the lance at an angle, head turned, sort of pose. Very Gilderish now that I think on it.

I was going to comment on the city walls, something about besiegers with elastic powered catapults throwing lit matches at the walls just haven't quite workrd it out.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.com
