That article

My first Tommy. Still a work in progress as he needs a few highlights here and there, some violently dark green on his base and a good coat of gloss varnish. Still, I am jolly pleased with him. One of Stadden's fnest.

Your treatment of these recent WWI figures easily dispels the misconception that figures of the era might be less interesting to paint (and ogle) than earlier periods. I, for one, and bowled over by these. They really do have that certain indefinable something about them. Paint, man, paint!

Have you had any problems with castings ? I really like this range, in fact I remember in 1968 or so when they were first released getting a flyer from Tradition saying that these fantastic new WW1 ranges were about to be released. It must be getting on time to reply to that and buy a few for myself.

John, no issues - so far so good. Just some minor flash, which was very encouraging. I think you ought to get in now and beat the rush.
