Would it not be a nice thing indeed to have a lovely store of German flats with which to fight the Battles of Frederick the Great?
Would it not be a fine thing to have a similar grouping likewise to allow for some of the fights of the Befreiungskreig?
Could one be blind to the beauty of a collection built around the Franco-Prussian War?
One could only dream.

Flats have a charm of their own , I have some Ancient/Hyborean ones , fiddly to paint right I find and I have to be in the mood for them .
Perhaps some paper models for the FPW. It would give a similar look and avoid the fiddly painting.
Dangerous thoughts there, old bean! Dangerous thoughts.
Kind Regards,

Flats interest me a great deal but I just know I couldn't do them justice paining wise. As you say one can dream.
Paper models are wonderful - I have a large collection for the peninsular War.
I have my own doubts as to my ability to do them justice, but I do have small collections of 7YW and 1813 that I have picked up here and there on eBay over the years that are a delight.
Agreed, that painting my own would be a matter of deep focus!
Yes to all three! But I think I would like someone else to do all the painting... ;-)
Well painted, they do look wonderful.
Cheers,
David.
You mean like Christian's fine armies at "My Seven Years War" blog?
Indeed.
