It's been a while since I'd gotten my new Dragoon regiment out and "played" with it.
Here they are then as they stand at the moment; the dismounted "B" Squadron is skirmishing on the outskirts of Strudelburg whilst the mounted "A" Squadron surges past them to drive back the enemy Croats (out of the picture) who've been attempting to worm their way into the village.
At least, that's what's going on in my imagination.

Nice!
One of these days I wil get some units painted for the Soweiter League (once I clear my painting desk of the current project).
The drummer looks quite nice when placed in with the other dragoons. Very fitting. Am I right in seeing that the dragoons actually have a grenadier troop? Or is that a different unit?
Well, thank-you gentlemen.
The conversion was really very easy to do and is one I'll be repeating any time that I create more Dragoon regiments in the future. Ideally I ought to have pinned the drum and arm for stronger joints, but - would you believe it? - I couldn't find my pin-vice drill that evening.
The Dragoons do indeed have a Grenadier Troop. In the Bavarian service, a Dragoon Regiment had 12 troops, divided into three Squadrons. One of the 12 troops was Grenadiers.
As you can see, I've another two Squadrons of troopers to go, and only four troopers and a pair of horses left in the pile! Time for another order to RSM, I think.
You'll also note that I have many muskets to paint and cement into hands as well!

Hello there Greg,
Very nice dragoons and drummer. Have been away for a while, so it's neat to come back and see where everyone is with their respective painintg projects. Good work!
Best Regards,
Stokes
P.S.
Where did you find your portrait of Friedrich Augustus II?
Hi Stokes,
I just did a google image search (you'll remember a Pompeian image I found the same way) his name. I got taken to a German watch site!
Alzheim's cavalry arm is about to get a major boost with a new order from RSM posted today:
3 x S1-105 English Trooper Charging
12 x S2-109 French Light Dragoon
6 x S5-101 Prussian Hussar in Mirliton
11 x S6-104 Austrian Hussar in Busby
8 x S6-105 Austrian Dragoon Trooper
26 x LH-005 Galloping Horse - Legs Spread
F2Rex may need to sell his porcelain collection!
Regards,
Greg
