French Line Gunners - Foremost

Will I sound self-satisfied if I remark that I am very pleased with how these fellows turned out?

I suppose I need a gun, now.

Next up, I'll be starting work on some RHA. Already cleaned and primed.

Nice realistically-proportioned figures - and nicely painted too. :-)

Very nice Greg. I'd say they were very Phil Robinson-esque (i associate Phil with the classic wash effect, Doug M has always painted in a modern layering style). Those are the 30mm figures, aren't they? Sculpted by Dave Sparrow i think (definitely not PG anyway) and originally only available in a boxed Calder Craft set.

Hi Doug,

30mm for sure. Maybe even a shade more. Perhaps a couple of hairs taller than the Bicorne range (also very nice figures).

They're not quite in the PG style at any rate.

A real treat to paint.
